Clara is hugely inspired by the celebration of love. It’s incredibly beautiful when two people come together with their closest friends and family to publicly declare their love for each other. Finding the perfect dress for the day is one of the most special moments for a bride in the lead up to her wedding. For Clara, there is something so special about being part of someone’s wedding day from behind the ‘seams’.

Clara’s techniques, fabrics and aesthetic, encompass both simplicity and intricate detail, while also reflecting the style and personality of each bride.

Clara has worked for leading New Zealand designers Kate Sylvester, Zambezi and Amber Whitecliffe. Graduating from Whitecliffe with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, Clara has also established fine jewellery company Capellia, that works primarily with pearls, and is stocked in boutiques nationwide. Capellia’s pieces perfectly complement her bridal designs.
